Pechersky gallery presents an installation " School of Athens"
by artist Roman Sakin.
At first I couldn't tune in perception that kind of scene, as, for
example you couldn't adjust the binoculars at once see something far away or
something tiny. But in a minute I've
felt harmony and logic of the
installation.
It's so fragile and delicate, it has aesthetics of anemia and
health department, but it worth to be seen, because it's so pure and
whole-hearted.
The artist explains his work as a research of the emergence of mind in the universe. He divided the space of installation on three areas - for studying, sleeping and eating. The artist shows all the process that take place in these spaces from the point of view of geometry and Pythagoras' principles.
Roman Sakin has investigated law of universe and
retells it by his own art language. Drawings, models show role of mind in
universe and in human life - consumption of food, the production of food, the
act of sleeping and learning.
In general the exhibition gives expression of amazing harmony. All the
things are placed particularly on their places and they seem to be a united
system, a special world.
It's Amazing and strange exhibition as, say, animated geometry textbook, which living and breathing
quietly.
Really great.
