ARCTICA
Project 'Arctica', which is in the MMAM, tells about the most important events related to the development of the Arctic in the first half of the 20th century, namely all the expeditions, investigations, discoveries, feats, human courage and endless thirst for adventures and unknown.
It was incredible to see the fragments from the first documentary film about Arctic, created in 1912 by Nikolay Pinegin, staff photographer in famous expedition of Georgy Sedov to the north pole.
Also the exhibition shows short film 'Underwater cloud', as well as unique video by Sergey Shestakov "Dive into space", made in 3D format, which was created during the Russian polar expedition "North Pole 2010", setting a world record the duration of the program and the number of underwater diving in the North plus. First video shows what no one had never seen before - the underwater part of the iceberg hidden under a layer of water.
So all in all very fascinating and cognitive exhibition, leaving a vivid impression and food for thought.

That's very interesting post in terms of history and significant meaning of Arctica. What's more, as you said, there was a film about Arctica that nobody has never seen before. Arctica is amaizing and that's great that such exhibition exists. There are breathtaking landscapes and people who live there are very different. I would like to go on this exhibition to see all these photos by myself.
