«Svoboda dostupa» is a project which was set up in 2006 to make the information about Russian architecture available for current architects and people who are interested in Russian history.
The site contains the information about different excursions and events which are conducted by experienced guides.
There are several programs there repeated during the year, so you can manage your time and event.
Such a flexible timetable and various excursions make this source appropriate for the architects who are working and useful for the students who can visit an event twice.
The excursion which I chose to attend was «The architecture of the developed socialism". This tour contains 12 buildings of the period from 1970th to 1990th and lasts for four hours.

Our group visited the building TASS (arch. Egere v,1977), the complex of buildings on the new Arbat(arch. Posokhin, Makarevich and others, 1965- 1979), the hotel "Golden ring» on Smolenskay street, RIA Novosti (arch. Antonov, Vinogr adov, Dubrovsky andothers, 197 6-1979), the building of MVD and the Russian state children's library (1960), the New Circus on the Vernandskiy avenue (1971), children's musical theatre Natalia Sats (Giants, Krasilnikov, 1979) and others.
To my mind, the way to learn about architecture in real time when you can see and touch the subject is the best to start understanding historical links between different buildings and different time, to analyze the features of each style and to see the «whole historical picture».
This could motivate a new generation to know native history. In its part it could make new projects more associate with historical past.
