"Ruins" exhibition dedicated to the issues of conservation and restoration of old historic buildings. Should the building be subject to total renovation or completely conserved in its semi-ruined state? A number of graduation projects made by students of Scuola di Restauro in Moscow (Scuola-di-restauro) distributed between these two extremes, offering different approaches of restoration
of the wing "Ruins" Schusev State
Museum of Architecture.
Some of the works completed on quite low level, especially in terms of layout, but there are some interesting ideas, such as creating a separate structure inside the old building shell.
Project’s boards with student’s works are accompanied by comments of the authors playing directly in the exhibition hall among the ruins on the TV-screen.
