Under The Guise
"That's why I'm easy, easy like a Sunday morning"- the words of the Spanish sculptor Samuel Salcedo, who became famous for his amazing artworks. Exhibition of Samuel Salcedo was held in Moscow Contemporary Art Center Winzavod between ambitious international artists. There are two rooms, which includes Samuel's great human sculptures with unique emotional context. These realistically made sculptures seem very amusing, however it made a big confusion about emotion which Samuel planned to show in it.

The Moscow Museum of Modern Art presents artworks of Salvador Dali in the light of media. The show is divided into two parts which are connected with each other. The first one demonstrates Dali at work. The second part a world of images which are an integral part of the era of the Fourth Estate, where the artist worked. The Remont. By Alexandra Zyuzina.
No. This article is not about choosing items from catalogues or simply refreshing a boring interior. What it is about represents the practical part of our “Detail” module.
My spot is an empty attic in a private house without any finishings at all. Moreover, it doesn’t even have a proper floor done, just cone tree planks resting on the bims. I need to develop a plan for the family of four, considering the changing needs of members (like growing children). Also, the quality of insulation system should be approved by others living downstairs. Also, the ventilation system and water supply has to be adapted to the existing geometry. And finally, I have to sell the choice of finishings to myself. It must be ecological, esthetically pleasuring, not too expensive and consider the fact that the house overall is new and has wooden floors. The latter means that every surface slightly moves depending on temperature and humidity therefore cracks and folds might appear if the choice of materials or technology is not appropriate.
Among the ruins
"Ruins" exhibition dedicated to the issues of conservation and restoration of old historic buildings. Should the building be subject to total renovation or completely conserved in its semi-ruined state? A number of graduation projects made by students of Scuola di Restauro in Moscow (Scuola-di-restauro) distributed between these two extremes, offering different approaches of restoration
of the wing "Ruins" Schusev State
Museum of Architecture.
Vatican Museums
As a part of the trip to Rome I visited the Vatican Museums that are a complex of different pontifical museums and galleries. The popes were among the first who opened the masterpieces of painting, sculpture and other works of art collected by them through the centuries to the public. The museums include The Sistine Chapel, Pinacoteca, Raphael's Rooms, Egyptian Museum, Etruscan Museum, Pio-Christian Museum, Gregorian Profane Museum, Gallery of Tapestries, Pius-Clementine Museum, Missionary Ethnological Museum, The Immaculate Conception and Sobieski Rooms, Borgia Apartment, Gallery of the Candelabra, Chariot Room, Apartment of Pius V, Gallery of Maps, Chiaramonti Museum-Braccio Nuovo Gallery, Historical Museum-Carriage Pavilion, Vatican Courtyards.
One Man Show
Belgian artist Wim Delvoye is
famous for his provocative 'Neo-Conceptual' works. Some of his art pieces
can be seen at his exhibition called One Man Show at Gary
Tatintsian gallery. Most of the works that are presented in the
gallery are inspired by Gothic and religious themes. Although, this
exhibition presents a rather small number of Delvoye's works, their arrangement
and organisation contemplates for it. In fact, these vast and spacious halls
seem to give more 'air' to such delicate and detailed sculptures. In addition,
the light effectively illuminates them, which makes them even more intriguing.

Exhibition "Beautiful Houses. Russian Architectural Salon."

Within the exhibition of Beautiful Houses it was presented the Russian Architectural Salon. From the first several seconds you enter the exhibition space you feel a strong wooden smell. And it explains the thing that the majority of exhibits are made of timber. I think that especially for Russian people the smell of wood associates with some old traditions.
Private life of Richard Meier which he’s not ashamed to exhibit
There is an exhibition of Richard Meier’s collages taking place in Saint Petersburg's Stroganov Palace. I couldn’t miss such an opportunity to see “the dark side” of a master. Meier is an illustrious architect honored with the Pritzker Architecture Prize. In the course of his 50 years career Meier has been making collages and he proclaims they are tighten closely to his design process. I expected his works were looking like architecture sketches made in mixed media, but reality has surprised me.
So unusual Art Nouveau
The exhibition of Charls Mackintosh, called 'Manifesto of new style', is taking place at Kremlin Museum. At this exhibition there is a number of works, mostly furniture , designed by him. Each and every object, exhibited there, represents recognizable details of unique style of Mackintosh, which contains Influence of East coltures , like Сhina for instance, and Art Nouveau, where each small part of any detail is elaborated by the designer. On the photo, there are two examples of furniture that were designed as a part of interior of Tee Room. Both of them were made in smooth lines, which one goes into another. The card table is decorated from four sides with carved image. Talking about the chair, it is not decorated but only the part where a person sits has a carved silhouette, which illustrates the part of the seat that a person occupies by sitting on it. Does it make a chair more comfortable? Unfortunately I had no chance to experience it myself.
